On Saturday 22nd June 2024 the Essex Pride March will return to Chelmsford. The march will build on last year’s success, when over a thousand people marched from the city centre to Central Park.

Every year the festival grows and develops. The Essex Pride March is based on our beliefs of access for all, protesting for the rights of all community segments, and freedom to be our authentic selves. It is as important as ever to demonstrate and stand up for our rights.

  • The march is free to attend and join, has an accessible route, and will take around 30 minutes to complete.
  • Join us as we form up together at the march starting point (Pop World – Chelmsford) from 10am. The march will set off at 11:20am.
  • Anyone who intends to enter the ticketed Central park event, and has purchased tickets already, will be able to collect wristbands at Pop World before the march sets off. This will fast-track your entry in Central Park.
  • If you have any questions, please email march@essexpride.org

The March Route

The march is an accessible route and will start on Springfield Road (next to Pop World), before winding through the city centre and the parks, ending in Central Park next to the Essex Pride LGBT+ Festival event.

The march is aiming to be the most inclusive and visible demonstration of the LGBT+ community in Essex to date.
