2014 – Large funfair added to the event, whole site licenced meaning access to the cabaret Big Top tent available to the whole family

2013 – Event expands further and for the first time takes place over two days, Dog Show introduced

2012 – Essex Pride achieves charitable status and takes a break for the Olympics

2011 – Over 5000 attendees, fantastic entertainment and community area. Event continues to grow

2010 – 3000 attendees, two huge live entertainment marquees, with many local organisations and businesses taking part

2009 – Event re-branded as ‘Essex Pride’ and staged in Central Park. Now a celebration for the whole community

2008 – First outside event at Smiths Bar along with local organisations showcasing services. Over 700 attendees, celebration outgrowing venue

2007 – Smiths Bar and Chicago Rock Cafe team up, with a summer beach party theme and live entertainment
