It is easily accessible by foot from the town centre, train station and bus station.
There is no public vehicular access to Central Park; however, there are many car parks within close walking distance

This car park can be busy at the weekend and is more expensive.
Usually open until 10pm but may be open later on Pride weekend.

Coming by Rail:
Chelmsford is on the main line from London Liverpool Street towards Ipswich, Colchester, Clacton and Norwich.
Central park is a short walk (Less than the 9 minutes stated on Google) from the train station.
Come out via the main entrance to the station (Grande Central Restaurant and the Railway Tavern pub should be in front of you) and turn Right under the railway arches and then left at the bus station and go down Viaduct Road, under the underpass, and you are in Central Park: See the map below.

Coming by bus:
Chelmsford Bus station is right by the railway station and so is an easy walk to Central Park (see map).
Regular bus services are run by First Buses, National Express, Stephenson’s and other bus services.
Some services drop off at High Chelmer Shopping centre as well and it is a short walk Via Bell Meadow park to Central Park.
Coming by Plane:
The nearest airport is London Stansted which has regular bus routes to Chelmsford bus station.
